DR.BUNTU is an ethical comedian, MC/Compere, movie scripts writer and media contents provider. Studied Electronics and computer engineering in Lagos State University and Project Management Technology at African Institute of Science and Technology Owerri. The discovery and venture into comedy wasn't a deliberate plan, I will say that the creative art found me.

Dr. Buntu's  comedy career started in 2012,  October to be precise with a comedy show tagged LAFF and PRAISE CONCERT. And has since then hosted several other comedy shows; Charity editions and ticketed events. The shows' concepts has since metamorphosed from LAFF AND PRAISE concert to "BUNTU LAFF XPRESS" and then finally, with the realization that laughter is therapeutic, the concept - "DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE" was birthed.

ABOUT THE SHOW

DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE is a 21st century comedy show hosted by the king of ethical and family friendly comedy - DR. BUNTU.

The show is designed to be an inspirational family event which goal is to provide a serene and fun-filled environment for relaxation and mingling.

The inspiration behind the tag - "LAFF THEATRE" is drawn from the well- established fact that laughter is in deed therapeutic to body and soul.

Basically, laughter is something that connects all humans stresslessly. Laughter as important part of the human psychology presents ways to process all kinds of information, from humorous stimulus to a point where laughing becomes the only handy reaction because situations are tough.

DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE is a unique comedy show concept which was launched on the 24th of November, 2017 following the premiere of DR. BUNTU skits which aired on several television and online platforms. The caption - "LAFF THEATRE" is drawn from the well established fact that laughter is therapeutic to both body and soul. And so we say that DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE is the world's largest Theatre where thousands of people are being operated upon simultaneously without casualties.

On the 26th of May, 2018, the First charity edition of DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE which gathered over 700 guests in attendance was hosted and then on the 29th of September, 2019, the ticketed theatre edition of the show was hosted at the Cinema Hall of the National Theatre Lagos, which had about 200 guests in attendance.

It was after the September edition that the management of the National Theatre Lagos called and requested that the show comes up at the National Theatre more frequently in partnership with them. This gave birth to the frequent hosting of DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE at the National Theatre Lagos and since hosted in November 2019 and January 2020 editions and the responses were awesome.

The show as it grows has had in the list of performances the likes of KOFFI THA GURU, BOW JOINT, FOREVER, MR. MAKATI, ELDER O, ATM, BABA DE BABA, JIMBOY, MC 90S, BIG MICKEY and a host of many talented comedians and musicians.

DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE has always been self sponsored until some coperate firms partnered and supported us during the charity edition, the likes of companies like: POINTEK, XIOMI REDMI, LAMBWESTON NIGERIA LTD, TECNO, MATRUNION CINEMAS.

I therefore present DR. BUNTU'S LAFF THEATRE, a family friendly Comedy show, which inspires happiness in the hearts of everyone, and where brands will be serenaded to an awesome time of exciting moments, laughs, amazing ambience, great music in the midst of great people.

 And then SUREREALISTIC MEDIA, JORDAN FM, KENIBZ CLOTHING AND VIDA STREAM RADIO came on board as we commenced the monthly show at the National Theatre.

The LAFF THEATRE is gradually becoming a "no-do-without" on the lips of everyone who has graced the show at one point or another as they often look forward to the next edition expecting something new because there is always something new.
